Terms of Service

Last updated: February 27, 2026

Agreement to terms

By accessing or using tuneshift.co, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the service.

Description of service

Tuneshift is a playlist transfer tool. It connects to your streaming service accounts to read your playlists from one service and recreate them on another.

We do not host, store, or distribute music. All music content remains on the respective streaming platforms. We are not affiliated with any streaming service.

Authentication and access

Tuneshift uses OAuth to connect to your streaming accounts. When you connect a service, you authorize Tuneshift to access your playlists and library through that service's official API.

You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting within Tuneshift or by revoking permissions in your streaming service's account settings.

User accounts

You may optionally create a Tuneshift account by signing in with Google, Apple, or a passkey. An account is not required to use the service. Creating an account allows your transfer history to be saved across devices and browser sessions.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in credentials. You may delete your account at any time, which will remove all associated data from our systems.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service through automated means beyond normal use
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service's operation
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent API rate limits or quotas

Third-party services

Tuneshift integrates with third-party streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, and Deezer. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of third-party APIs. Transfers may fail or be incomplete due to API limitations, rate limits, or differences between services (e.g., a song available on one service may not exist on another).

Intellectual property

The Tuneshift name, design, and code are our property. Music content, service logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Disclaimers

Tuneshift is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that transfers will be complete, accurate, or error-free.

Track matching between services is done on a best-effort basis. Some tracks may not be found on the destination service due to catalog differences, regional availability, or matching limitations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tuneshift and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of playlists, incorrect transfers, or changes to your library on any connected streaming service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of Tuneshift after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
